What does custom software cost?

With us, €10,000 to €25,000. Fixed up front, built in eight weeks, and you own everything.

The short answer

Custom software costs €10,000 to €25,000 at 2B Global. You get a quote with an amount inside that range after the first conversation, and that amount does not change afterwards. Eight weeks later there is a working system in production. Payment runs 40% at the start, 30% halfway and 30% on delivery.

That is unusual to read on a page like this. On 19 September 2026 we checked the agency pages ranking in the Dutch results for this question: none of the six reachable pages named a price. Not one. So the honest thing to do is to name ours and explain how it is built up.

What decides where you land

Three things, and you can estimate them yourself before you call anyone.

Screens
How many places does someone actually work? An order screen, a planning board, a customer portal. Each one is design, building and testing. Five screens is a different project from twenty.
Connections
What does it have to talk to? Payments, shipping, accounting, an existing stock system. Every connection is someone else’s system with its own rules, and that is where the time goes.
Old data
Does anything have to come across from what you have now? Three thousand products with images and prices is a job in itself, and it is the part people forget to mention.

As a rough guide: a webshop on an existing catalogue sits in the lower half. A system your staff work in every day, with an app in the field and a connection to your accounting, sits in the upper half. Anything that needs both is two projects, and we will say so.

What is in the price

  • Week one: the conversation, the plan, and the fixed price
  • Design and build, tested with people who will actually use it
  • A security check before it goes live
  • Handover, training for your team, and thirty days of support
  • Full ownership of the code, the data and the documentation

Not in the price: hosting and third-party licences, because those are yours and you should be able to move them. We will tell you what they cost before you sign anything.

When a fixed price is the wrong idea

A fixed price works when the goal is clear and the scope can be pinned down in a week. It does not work when nobody yet knows what the system should do. In that case you are not buying software, you are buying a decision, and that is research or advice rather than a build. We will say so in the first conversation rather than quote you a number that has to be renegotiated later.

A fixed price also does not mean fixed scope forever. If you want something extra halfway, that is a new quote, agreed before we build it. What it does mean is that the number you agreed at the start is the number on the final invoice.

What that buys in practice

Two examples of work delivered at this price and pace. A B2B webshop and a delivery platform, built at the same time and live in 26 days, with 3,140 products structured. And a full site with forty-four pages, thirteen neighbourhood guides and an AI assistant, live on its own domain 28 days after the first commit.

Questions people ask

What does custom software cost?
With us, €10,000 to €25,000, as a fixed price agreed up front. After the first conversation you get a quote with an amount inside that range, and that amount does not change afterwards. In eight weeks there is a working system.
What decides where you land in that range?
The number of screens someone actually works in, the number of connections to systems you already use, and whether data has to come across from an old system. A webshop with an existing catalogue sits lower than a delivery platform with a driver app, route planning and an accounting connection.
Why do other agencies not quote a price?
Because a price is only possible once you know what you are building, and most agencies want to establish that in a paid discovery phase first. That is defensible. We do that work in week one and carry the risk of being wrong ourselves.
What does it cost to have an app built?
That falls inside the same range, as long as it is one app for one audience. An app for staff on the floor, with scanning and offline use, usually sits in the upper half. Two apps for two audiences is two projects.
What if my project is smaller than eight weeks?
Then it is cheaper and we say so. Below €10,000 it usually becomes a matter of configuring an existing package properly rather than building something, and we will tell you that.
What does it cost afterwards?
Nothing obligatory. The code, the data and the documentation are yours, so you can go to any other party. Thirty days of support after delivery is in the price. If you want us to keep building, that is a monthly amount, cancellable monthly.
